Louise Corrigan - Chair
Louise is a dual qualified lawyer admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland, the US District Court and the New York State Bar. She practiced as a litigator and immigration specialist in Manhattan for 6 years before returning to Ireland in 2014 to set up her own practice, Louise M. Corrigan & Associates. Louise also works Of Counsel for New York-based firm O’Malley & Associates, specialising in US Immigration law. While in the US, Louise was awarded the Irish Echo Top 40 Under 40 Award 2014 and the Irish Voice Most Influential Women Award 2011. Louise was the 2014 Honoree of the Irish Arts Center in New York, where she performed with one of their resident Irish dance companies. Louise is a former Chair (2013-2014) of IN-NYC. She is a native of Co. Kildare and graduate of UCD.
Kate Hickey - Vice-Chair
Kate is the Managing Editor and Irish Correspondent for IrishCentral, North America’s largest Irish news website. Prior to IrishCentral Kate was as a freelance journalist for various publications, in Ireland and the US, as well as having worked as a Spokesperson for the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform, a Tour Manager for Education First, and an Associate at Gibney Communications, in Dublin.Last year Kate moved home to Dublin after five years in New York. During her time in New York she served on the board of IN-NYC and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the network. Kate, a native of Dublin, is a graduate of UCD (BAInt) and DIT (Masters in Journalism).
Eoin Corrigan - Treasurer
Eoin is a Dealer and Support Trader with Davy Stockbrokers in Dublin. A native of Co. Kildare, Eoin graduated with the 2nd highest graduating grade from Dublin City University, with a degree in Business, majoring in Finance. After college, Eoin took up a role with Davy's client services department, subsequently moving into other roles including valuations and stock database management and share dealing and transacting services. Eoin is certified as a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) with the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. Always the keen sportsman, Eoin has played gaelic football at junior and senior level for his local club in Kildare since childhood and in recent years has taken up running and cycling.
Fiona Haughey - Co-secretary
Fiona works on the Financial Planning team in Davy Private Clients, supporting technical specialists in the development of financial planning and investment solutions for clients. Before moving to Dublin a year ago, Fiona worked for UBS Wealth Management in New York. During her time in New York she became a member of IN-NYC which she found an incredibly worthwhile and enjoyable experience. Fiona is from Co. Tyrone and has studied both in Ireland and the US.
Jean Scally - Co-secretary
Jean is a lawyer in the Tax Department of Mason Hayes & Curran. Prior to this, Jean worked at another major tax practice in Dublin. She is admitted to practice law in Ireland and New York and is a Chartered Tax Adviser. Jean has experience in all aspects of financial services tax with particular emphasis on the aircraft leasing, investment funds and banking sectors. She also regularly advises clients on the use of Irish regulated funds and Irish special purpose securitisation companies for structuring international business in and through Ireland. Jean studied law in UCD and spent some time living in New York after graduating. While she was there, she was a member of IN-NYC which she found to be of huge support and always enjoyed attending the events.
Tristan Conway-Behan - Director
Tristan is a Senior Associate with Arthur Cox, one of Ireland’s leading commercial law firms. Tristan’s practice consists of a mixture of both contentious and non-contentious matters including the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements, representing clients at various stages of dispute resolution, from court proceedings through to alternative dispute resolution, and the provision of regulatory advices to clients. Tristan recently returned from a secondment to one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, where he spent time at its US based headquarters working as part of the company’s global human health team. Whilst in the US, he was a member of IN-NYC and participated in several Ireland-US focused events in both New York and Washington DC. Tristan is a graduate of UCD and enjoys sailing, hiking and trad music.
Louise Martin - Director
Louise is a New York qualified Attorney currently working in the derivatives legal team in State Street Bank and Trust Company. She holds a BCL Degree and an LLM in Commercial Law, both from University College Dublin. Upon completion of her LLM Louise moved to Luxembourg where she worked as Junior Legal Counsel in SES S.A. one of the worlds largest telecommunications satellite operators. In 2012 she joined a commercial law firm in New York and became a member of IN-NYC which she credits as the source of many new friendships and business connections. Louise returned to Ireland in 2014 and is excited to be involved in the formation of In-Dublin.
Michael Murphy - Director
Michael is a native of a large Wexford farming family, qualified in farming and agricultural business. He left Ireland in the mid-90's to head off on a short decade travelling. He arrived back in 2004 after 3 years in the US, living in places like Philly, San Fran, Cleveland and Mystic Connetticut! He began working in tourism while undertaking a full time degree in Environmental Science and Health. Graduating in 2009 it seemed like a better idea to continue in tourism, and he switched to his current company Extreme Ireland/Irish Day Tours full time in 2011. In November 2014 he opened the Irish Whiskey Museum in a joint venture with Extreme Ireland. It differs from other attractions on the same topic in the city by telling the rich history of Ireland's greatest contribution to the world, the 'water of life'. New projects are already underway, a night time dinner show and a "social profit" tourism project.
Joyce O'Hara - Director
Born in New York to Irish parents, Joyce grew up in Mulranny Co. Mayo. She returned to the US to study, obtaining a BA in Business & Languages from Mercyhurst University, Erie PA, and an MBA from St Joseph’s University, Philadelphia. Joyce has worked in Human Resources for several multinationals. She spent 5 years with Concern Worldwide, Ireland’s biggest INGO supporting African countries with travels to Chad, Niger and The Democratic Republic of Congo. She recently joined Milestone Technologies with headquarters in San Francisco as HR Manager for the EMEA and APAC region and is now based in Dublin. Aside from work, Joyce enjoys hiking, golfing and travelling.
